Pearls User Guide

Introduction

• Dual Network Compatibility: Pearls is compatible with both Google's Find My Device network and Apple's Find My network. Users can select their preferred network during initial pairing.
• Working Modes: When paired with an Android device, Pearls functions as a Google Find My Device locator tag until it is factory reset. Similarly, when paired with an iOS device, it operates as an Apple Find My locator tag until a factory reset is performed.

Before You Start

• Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your Android or iOS device.
• The device must have internet access via Wi-Fi or cellular data.
• Locate the button on Pearls.

Pairing with an Android Device

1. Activate Pearls: Place Pearls near your Android device and long-press the button for 5 seconds. A prompt tone will indicate successful activation.
2. Complete Pairing: Wait for a half-screen notification to appear, then follow the on-screen instructions to add Pearls to Google's Find My Device network.

Pairing with an iOS Device

1. Activate Pearls: Place Pearls near your iOS device and long-press the button for 5 seconds. A prompt tone will indicate successful activation.
2. Add Device: Open the Find My app on your iOS device, tap the Items tab, and select Add Other Item.
3. Complete Pairing: When the Find My app detects Pearls, follow the on-screen instructions to add it to Apple's Find My network.

Locating Pearls

• Android Device: Use the Google Find My Device app on your Android device to locate Pearls after adding it to the network.
• iOS Device: Use the Find My app on your iOS device to locate Pearls after adding it to the network.

Factory Reset

1. Locate the button on Pearls.
2. Quickly short-press the button 4 times in succession, then hold it down on the 5th press. Release the button immediately when you hear a prompt tone to complete the reset.
3. After resetting, Pearls can be paired with another Google or Apple account. To pair it with a new Apple account, you must first remove Pearls from the previous Apple account on your iOS device.

Disabling Pearls

1. Locate the button on Pearls.
2. Double-press the button firmly to hear one prompt tone.
3. Within 2 seconds, click the button 5 times consecutively. Pearls will disable when you hear two prompt tones.

Re-enabling Pearls

1. Locate the button on Pearls.
2. Long-press the button for 5 seconds to hear a prompt tone.

Entering Identification Mode (for Android Devices)

1. Locate the button on Pearls.
2. Double-press the button to hear a confirmation tone.

Performing Serial Number Lookup (for iOS Devices)

1. Locate the button on Pearls.
2. Double-press the button to hear a confirmation tone.

Entering Pairing Mode

1. Locate the button on Pearls.
2. Long-press the button for 5 seconds to activate pairing mode, indicated by a prompt tone.

Removing and Re-pairing Pearls

• Within Bluetooth Range: Remove Pearls from the Google Find My Device app (Android) or Find My app (iOS). If Pearls is within Bluetooth range, it will automatically factory reset when receiving the command from the device.
• Out of Bluetooth Range: If Pearls is out of range, perform a factory reset (see instructions above) before or after removing it from the app. To re-pair with an Android or iOS device, follow the steps in Pairing with an Android Device or Pairing with an iOS Device.
